Help feed, protect and care for the stray cats of Madina, the blessed city of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Hundreds of stray cats live on the streets of Madina. Many are hungry, thirsty, injured or sick, with nowhere safe to go and no one to care for them.
During the summer, temperatures in Madina can exceed 45°C. Without regular food, clean water, shade or medical treatment, these vulnerable animals face daily suffering.
Local cat sanctuaries in Madina are doing incredible work rescuing, feeding and caring for these cats. But many struggle to raise enough funds to keep their sanctuaries running.
We are working with local cat sanctuaries in Madina to help them continue their vital work, providing food, shelter, clean water and essential veterinary treatment to cats in need.
Kindness to animals is part of our deen
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
"There is a reward for kindness to every living creature." (Sahih al-Bukhari 2363)
He ﷺ also warned of a woman who was punished for neglecting a cat, leaving it without food or water. (Sahih al-Bukhari 3482; Sahih Muslim 2242)
His companion Abu Hurairah (RA) was famously known as the "Father of the Kitten" because of his affection for cats.
What better place to show kindness and mercy to animals than in the blessed city of Madina?
How your donations will help
Your generosity will support local cat sanctuaries with:
Daily food for hungry and rescued cats.
Fresh, clean drinking water.
Safe shelter and shaded areas.
Veterinary treatment for sick and injured cats.
Essential medication and vaccinations.
Neutering and ongoing animal welfare support.
Our initial fundraising target is to help local sanctuaries meet their immediate needs and continue caring for vulnerable cats.
Our team will work directly with local sanctuary operators to identify their most urgent needs and help fund essential care.
Small donations. Big acts of kindness.
These cats cannot ask for help. They cannot tell us when they are hungry, thirsty or in pain.
But together, we can support the people who dedicate their time to rescuing and caring for them.
Every donation, however small, helps local cat sanctuaries continue showing mercy to the cats of Madina.
Please donate today and help give these vulnerable animals the care they deserve.
If you cannot donate, please share this appeal and help us reach more people.
